Advice for Trail Runners: Seeking supportive feeling trail running shoes for rocky and hilly terrain? You should consider the Salomon Women's Genesis Running Shoes.

Underfoot Feel

It's easy to go over your ankle on uneven rocky terrain. To reduce the likelihood of this happening, the Salomon Genesis Running Shoes feature an Active Chassis. This dynamic support system should offer guidance and control when you need it.

From a cushioning perspective, the Energy Foam midsole should feel protective and agile. This is because the foam offers great energy return and has a moderate level of cushioning.

Ascending and descending mountainous terrain requires precision. The two-part lug pattern helps you tackle each challenge with confidence. Salomon's All-Terrain Contagrip® compound should also help to provide a lot of traction on rocky ground.

Upper Fit

The Salomon Genesis Running Shoes have a standard fit.

Expect the weaved Matryx® upper to offer exceptional levels of durability. This fabric resists the potential damage from scree.

Ideal Run Type

The Salomon Women's Genesis Running Shoes are for rocky mountain trail runs. This type of trail running requires a very specific set of attributes. And that's what the Genesis have been meticulously designed for.

Technical Features

  • Drop: 8mm

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
